WCG 2008 Grand Finals

The World Cyber Games 2008 were played over the last 4 days in Cologne, Germany with the Counter-Strike 1.6 Grand Final taking place this afternoon.

 Grand Final
 SK-Gaming  1 - 2 mTw.AMD

With SK coming back from a map down, mTw found another gear to take the last map de_train with ease and take the gold medal, adding to their ESWC Masters win earlier in the year.

Meanwhile over in Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne a dream final was played out with an all MYM look to it, Moon taking on Grubby for the gold medal.

 Grand Final
 MYM)Moon  1 - 2 MYM)Grubby

Moon took the first map with Grubby looking a little out of sorts after playing well all tournament, this wasn't helped by problems with his audio during the first break. However he got straight back to it, taking the next map and forcing Moon into a decding map which he managed to take fairly easily after taking out 2 of Moon's heroes in quick succession.

Moon is still to win a WCG Final, however Grubby now has 2 WCG gold medals to his name, the last being back in 2004.
