Leibzig GC 07

These are a load of photos from the Leibzig Games Convention last year. i thought it would post them coss the next one is coming up in a few weeks and i still havent decided if im going again or not :P. o and yea i use to have a pony tail >.<. was a spectacular event and had the oportunity to be one of the first people to play TF2 and also the first to get a look at the upcoming Far Cry 2.

Arriving at the convention centre early hours of the morning.

The place was completely packed with people and when the corridors to the game halls first opened it was pretty hard to move.

The World Of Warcraft Trading Card Game stand in the main entrance area. It was quite popular.

Some pictures of one of the halls.

The Need For Speed Carbon stand. Had hawt girls with batons too but didnt get pics.

The Intel stand. No one who worked for Intel on this stand actually knew the answers to any technical questions we asked them.

In the hall with the Playstation 3 games they had areas set up as bathrooms, no idea why.

Jord playing PS3 on the toilet:

People playing games in the bath:

Someone on the PS3 at a sink:

And me again playing the new Wipeout game at a urinal:

The new Wipeout game at the toilets:

There were quite a few attractions on around the place to keep everyone entertained, one of which being some breakdancers which was quite good. Could have sworn I had a picture of a guy spinning on his head, oh well.

A huge half pipe in the main area advertising the new Tony Hawk's game Proving Grounds, this was cool.

Err...half naked girl wearing nothing but a thong and bodypaint.

 And another...

My friend wanted a photo with her...

My friend also wanted a photo with the ATI model.

Some cars...cant quite remember what they were advertising, cool anyway.

Nova mouse mat stand with a small mini game to play. Quite a nice mouse mat.

Some hover car game controlled with handlebars...didnt get to play it as I couldnt be bothered to queue, looked alright though.

3D TVs...quite cool but you had to wear some dodgy glasses for it to be effective. There were some 3D tvs and monitors where you didnt have to wear glasses but they just gave me a headache.

The Beyerdynamic stand showing off their latest gaming headset on BF2. We spent a while here playing BF2 and eating their free sweets.

A lan party in the back of a huge truck, what could be cooler? It had Trackmania and PES on LAN.

A big painting of Master Chief on the wall.

The Razer Gaming stand, always popular every day.

Big poster for the new Guild Wars expansion. jord left, my friend right.

The Roccat stand, they had some cool stuff going on such as live DJ sets and MCs.

My friends playing Unreal Tournament 3, such an awesome game. There was another area for UT3 but the queues were huge, we managed to sneak a preview over at another small stand.

A cool alternative to a mouse at the Haptx stand. It allows for full 3D interactive with the environment.

Lord of the Rings Online stand, also very popular. Some accounts were set up for testing and theyw ere giving out free trials.

The Revoltec stand themed with the army.

 A giant UT3 character model:

 Some amazing character modelling:

My friend with the Activision girls.

The owner of Splash Damage was there doing some interviews.

Saitek had some cool stuff on show at their stand. This was a chair and flight joystick all hooked up that moved as you turned etc. Cool stuff.

A wall full of Saitek keyboards and mice at their stand.

 More chix.

 Not a chick.

Project Entropia (Entropia Universe now) had a stand too, played a bit of that, of course it had some uber gear and weapons with an increased drop rate on their local server to make it seem better than it is :P

 Custom Case mods on show:

Some Eve case mods all custom by Commodore.

 Guildwars Commodore custom cases.

 Retro gaming! Fo shizzle!

There was a huge retro gaming section in the family hall with everything from pong up to sega saturn on show, some cool stuff.

A pc that was cooled by liquid nitrogen. They overclocked the bollocks off it and the temperature was siting at around -120.

Trackmania on a 3 monitor setup.

Outside they created a little beached area with hawt girls walking around. It had live music, free drinks, a little skate park and a beach volley ball court. Was pretty sweet to chill out at on a hot day.

And last, me camping in Germany at a campsite around 20 minutes up the motorway from the event.

My friend bending the tent pegs as they werent straight.

My friend pumping the air bed up.

 My friend making breakfast.

The finished product, its a nice tent, you missed out Alyosh.

Oh yeh...me and another friend supervising. My car btw.

 Poor guy...lol.

And a bridge for good measure.

and we finished it off in amsterdam, this was at the end of our night when we were crashed out in the middle of dam square waiting for the bus at 6.00 AM

from left to right... Me, Jord, Rizzo
