Seems like we've had a pretty dissapointing performance at another event, even with the problems at sychosis we didnt exactly grasp what potential we do have. I think everyone was shocked, forum posts all over cadred say how nobody expected us to fall so early, especially after some of the results we were getting online against the same teams.
So what really went down was quite strange, we won our first upper bracket match in a similar fashion to TLR who played the same team (fxation) in the group stages where they only just managed to scrape a win with a 16-14 scoreline. No one really knows what happened in this game, i think we were 15-10 or so up at one point and we just lost round after round, we played like a mix team and it cost us dearly. Drawing up at 15-15 we got ourselves in action and won 4 consecutive rounds and made them look silly, barely killing a single member of our team on any of the 4 rounds played.
We then realise that events of i33 have replayed themselves in where we seemed to have gotten the bracket of death again. At i33 it was Fnatic -> Salvo -> Mint -> 4K, to allow us to reach the upper bracket finals. This time round it plays out even worse where we get 4K -> Salvo -> Reason -> Mint (theoretically speaking).
So we started off the 4K match, inferno CT side after winning the knife round. We lose the pistol but are still in the game as we know we have a really strong CT side, normally. We went 10-0 down, after losing about 4 or so 1v1's on buy rounds, and even losing a 4v1 against whoever that sick head was that killed us. It just seemed as though we would get picked by someone, he'd run round and just kill 2 or 3 more every round, at one point i think Netion had 22 or so frags with the nearest to him having 6. Just shows that one player can cause some serious damage when he's given the chance. We ended the CT half with a very poor score of 12-3 in favour of 4K.
T side started off beautifully, we locked down our pistol strat and took them with ease, whilst taking the following two rounds in a similar fashion. With the score standing at 12-6 we knew we still had some work to do, but it seemed as though we could actually bring it back as we won the next 3 rounds with some early picks and brilliant 2v4 clutches from callisto and tom. Then things got worse when 4K really put the pressure on and started to randomly push all over the map without flashes or smokes, just running down banana and shooting the team in the back. The match ended at 16-9, although we knew to ourselves that those 6 rounds as T would normally be enough for any team to have taken that game, our CT side was...poor.
Then we go into the lowers, having an easy route to the 5th position we thought we could make some sort of comeback and do ourselves justice. It started off against exult which we won easily, although the scoreline makes it look closer than it was, we just relaxed in that game after a tough and stressful 4K matchup directly before.
Then we had to face Zen, which we though would be easy considering not so long before we played the same team, on the same map, in a pcw and won 16-1. However the way we played in that pcw did not replicate itself in any way in that match. We won the knives and started the easier side again, but nothing worked. We got eco'd twice, which fucked our money and we lost a stupid pistol round which we should of won. Lost a 2v1 where communication was terrible and should of been won if we had spoken to each other at least once. We only have ourselves to blame for that game and I dont quite understand how it happened like that, but as everyone says you can have a single bad game on the day and that was what happened, just unfortunate that it had to be in the lower bracket to knock us out prematurely.
So after i34, were pissed off. Nothing seemed to work and were just sathere now thinking about how we can make it work, the team is in no way turned against one another as we all realise that each of us had somehow made it that much harder for us to win games. Our performance against 4K, as bad as it looks in the scoreline was by no means amateur, it really did show how good we can work even when were playing bad, when the demos do come out it will be clearer to see how the rounds actually played out and how we should of won that game with ease. Even the zen game had its fair share of those rounds we "should of won" given that on the day we played like any normal ED team.
It's back to the drawing board from here on, were going to put our tactics to the test and criticise on every aspect of our game to get what went wrong, right. There's nothing more we can do from that, but rest assured we will be back and much stronger in every one of our games and we will live up to our previous success' and make Infused at the top of competitive CS:S once again.

13th-16th finish equal to TCM and better than TLR
could easily have been worse, should have been SO much better
Keep working at it boys. It's gonna click soon enough.
